How To Improve Your Quality of Life
5 tips that I have found to improve my quality of life and can do the same for you. I share them with you in hopes they will help you along your life’s journey toward happiness.
What is the meaning of life?
It’s a question that every person that has ever lived and ever will, will ponder at some point in their lives and most likely without ever finding an answer.
Whats an equally mind bending question is, why after 200,000 years of human existence most people still struggle to figure it out? Inconceivable!!
Hmmm….honestly I think its a trick question, because the answer is right in front of us, or I should say within us.
The human mind and body is the most complex organism in the entire known universe! Each person’s mind is as unique to the rest of the world as our finger prints. So you see, there is no black and white, yes or no, or any series of one’s and zero’s that can answer this question.
The answers you seek are within you.
“Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7
The thoughts we fill our head with on a day to day basis determine the quality of life we will lead. Its simple, not easy, but simple.
My whole life I struggled with my own inner voice beating me down in every aspect of my life, from sports, school, life at home, girls, and this carried well into adulthood and even to this day. It’s a never ending process and certainly not perfect.
These voices or “the demons” (some call it) never allowed me to build any self confidence and/or self esteem that would allow me to have success in these areas of my life.
They would say things like; ‘Im not good enough’, ‘I can’t do that, ‘Im not smart enough’, ‘no girl will ever like me’, and the list could go on for days, but Im sure you get the idea and you’ve probably heard similar in your own head.
I also grew up believing that I couldn’t control my own thoughts or emotions, and that it was impossible! That couldn’t be farthest from the truth.

Happiness is a choice and the same goes for anger and hate.
Happiness can be learned and practiced, if it can be practiced, it can be improved, if it can be improved, it can be mastered.
So are we ready to get to it? Lets get started with some tips Ive discovered along my journey to a better quality life. Let’s go!
1. CHOOSE HAPPINESS:
It all starts with a choice. JUST DECIDE you want to be a happy person, a better person, and believe that you can. Change your mind, change your life.
Nothing in your life will change until you take this first step. So Do it!

2. GET HEALTHY:
A mind needs a healthy body and vice versa. Implement a diet rich in whole, natural, and organic foods.
Start exercising daily anything from a walk around the block to joining a gym, all the little changes count. If you are already active, increase intensity of your workouts to challenge yourself to improve and grow.
By being healthy and active you’ll have a higher quality life and live longer.

3. BE PRESENT:
With all the craziness going on in most people’s heads it’s very easy to forget about the present moment. Our minds are consumed all day long everyday by thoughts of the past and future, very rarely in the present.
Happiness can only exist in the present moment. Past and future are nothing but illusions created by our mind or recreated by our memory, therefore the only thing that is real is RIGHT NOW!

4. QUALITY TIME:
This goes hand in hand with #3. Make an effort to spend time doing things that bring you joy and happiness and bring you into the present moment. This can be time with family and friends or it can also be time alone. I think it’s a MUST to have quality alone time, that’s where the real progress can be made!
Read books or listen to audiobooks, podcasts, YouTube channels on self development, health and fitness, mental health (thats huge), anything that inspires you, challenges you, expands your mind and it will take you places you never thought possible.

Remember, growth is a necessary ingredient for happiness.
5. LOVE YOURSELF:
It’s impossible for me to put into words how incredibly vital this is to having any life worth living, but here goes!
Human beings spend most of their lives craving love from all those around us but never realizing it’s the love for ourselves that we truly crave and need most.

So there are many ways to improve your life and happiness but the truth is, you are the only that can do it for you.
These tips are 5 of the most powerful I have personally discovered over the past couple years that have changed my life.
I can honestly say my quality of life has never been better and I will continue to evolve into who I was meant to be.
