So today you’ve hit the gym, the ball-field, the batting cage, yada yada yada, and thats all fine and dandy! But have you worked out your mind? Do you realize your mind is the most powerful muscle you have and ever will have? But in order to have a powerful mind, you must train it like any other muscle. With challenges and repetitions.
Your mind controls your thoughts, which controls emotions, and which leads to actions. Your mind is what got you to the gym, what got you to go for that extra rep even though you felt like stopping, and without your mind your body wouldn’t know to breathe.
Just like a car gets you places around town, your mind gets you places in life.
Wouldn’t it be silly to say, “Im running low on gas, but I don’t have time to stop and fill up”? And risk running out of gas? I don’t know about you, but I especially don’t have time to be stalled on the side of the road!
Your brain needs fuel too!! Fuel in nutritional form (through diet of course), but also exercise through learning, thinking, and using your imagination. This is conditioning for you mind as long runs, sprints, and agilities, are for your body.
That can be done through reading.
So don’t forget to STOP, and fill up!
