How To Lose Weight Without Exercise

Published by Ferrante Baseball LLC on

Many people (even myself at times) wish there was a way to achieve their fitness goals without doing the hard work or by taking a magic pill. Hate to break it to ya, there is nothing that gets results better than good old fashion diet and exercise (some form of).

Both of these components are necessary for living a long, healthy, and high quality life.

But lets say you had to pick either diet or excerise, which would you choose?

Hopefully you’d choose Nutrition, I would.

The reason is simply this, what we fuel our bodies with everyday is directly correlated with our overall health, energy, and quality of life. Without a healthy body, there is no healthy mind, without a healthy mind, then whats the point?

In this case, exercising or going to the gym everyday becomes secondary to our overall health.

Its highly recommended, but not mandatory.

So maybe you don’t think of yourself as an athlete or the gym going type, and thats ok. There are ways to achieve the healthy life that you want without ever having to step foot in the gym.

So heres how you should get to started to reach some of your health goals without exercising…

The Lazy Man Plan

Carbohydrates are used in the body as a quick form of energy (glucose), which is why athletes have huge carb ups prior to a big sporting event, training, or marathon. The athlete will use the stored carbohydrates in the form of glycogen to fuel their activity to maximize performance.

So why would someone (non athlete) carb up just to go sit on the couch? Seems silly if you ask me!

Then there is no need to be consuming high amounts of carbohydrates if we do not intend to use them for an intense activity.

Incorporate a ketogenic diet, Low-Carb/High-Fat, or paleo (higher carb) lifestyle. I have been following a keto lifestyle for over a year now. Love it!

click here to learn the basics of what the keto lifestyle is, and how it works.

These lifestyles (not diets) are very effective because they eliminate all grains, gluten, processed foods, vegetable oils, sugars, artificial sweeteners, sugary drinks, candy, etc…anything man made is eliminated to the best of your ability.

They are rich in vegetables, fruits, full fat dairy, eggs, and especially high in healthy fats from meat, poultry, fish, nuts and seeds, and healthy oils. all foods/ingredients are naturally found in nature.

By fueling our body with clean healthy fats instead of sugar, can drastically improve overall health and energy, with many other health benefits, including FAT LOSS.

2.Intermittent FASTING (IF)

Possibly the best tool for losing body fat with minimal to no activity, especially combined with a ketogenic lifestyle.

Keto will eliminate cravings and appetite, and make fasting easy!

IF formats can range from 16-20 hours a day, up to 36-48 hour fasts once or twice per week (for the more advanced). During the remaining hours of the day or week, you eat when hungry and until you are satisfied.

Basically, if you are not eating, you are not gaining fat, you are BURNING FAT.

Which allows you to do this without much effort.

NOTE: this is not a starvation diet.

IF allows your body to do what it was designed to do, which is store fat so that it can be utilized for fuel during periods of famine. IF is a eating protocol designed to mimic periods of feast and famine. To read more on this click here.

3.Dont Be Afraid of Some “EXCERCISE”

If your definition of excercise is going to the gym or following some sort of grueling workout plan? Then maybe the following activities will allow you to increase your activity level while having fun at the same time and increase your results.

If its fun its not “exercise”, right?

-Hiking or walking around your neighborhod with kids/dogs or both.

-Light jog with spouse or friend

-Take children to the park and actually play with them, not sit on the nearest bench and Pinterest.

-Join a city sports league, no need to be a pro, just have fun!

Any activity that gets that body moving can be beneficial to your health.
